As with much primitive architecture, this image has an all-powerful simplicity that seems close to some modern art and architecture. Its scale is that of today's immense water tanks, of our modern stadiums and coliseums built for thousands. Such modern structures, built for man in the aggre- Architecture of Middle Georgia gate rather than for individuals, are closely akin in scale and in spirit to the pyramids, to the sphinx, and to the Rock Eagles.
